The Mazda 3 MPS
Posted on15. Nov, 2011 by admin.
The Mazda 3 MPS is a revamped version of the original Mazda MPS.
The Mazda 3 MPS offers quirky little extras such as heated seats, it also appears streamline and sporty, which means it will be the envy of all the neighbors when parked on the drive!

The car itself manages 62mph in 6.1 seconds, which makes it a pretty nifty model that will get you from A to B in no time!
The face lifted model arrives in the UK very shortly and offers less noise and tyre smoke and much more streamlined efficiency.
The stiffer body shell is just one of the changes that appears on the revamped model. It also offers improved aero and re-tuned dampers. These have been especially tailored to fit the standards of European roads.
It’s certainly a sportier model of the original and is in fact quite composed when driven sensibly. The suspension of course is a little lower than the MPS and it has been stiffened slightly. This doesn’t however affect the smoothness of the model.
The car itself is very roomy and the seats are said to be extremely comfortable. The entire look of the inside of the vehicle offers sober black plastics, which feel very secure!
The added extra is a snazzy Bose sound system, meaning you can listen to quality music on the go!
The only visual differences of the Mazda 3 MPS and its predecessor, the Madza MPS, is the standard 3 offers a bonnet scoop, 18-inch wheels, a slightly larger rear spoiler, some impressive looking chrome trim rings around the fog lights and a concept slatted grill. All in all it is an impressive looking machine that drives well at the same time!

The Nissan Note
Posted on02. Oct, 2011 by admin.
The Nissan Note is a car that is hard to classify. It falls somewhere in between an MPV and a small hatchback. For a family on a budget there seems no better option. It may not win any style awards but the shape does look relatively pleasing. The Nissan Note’s value lies in its reasonable price tag and spacious interior.
The Note can come with a variety of engines but the one that most suits its profile is the 1.5dCi. The note epitomises practicality and the lean 1.5dCi is the most practical of the engines. It delivers the best fuel economy and is only £1,000 more than the 1.4 petrol. The 1.5dCi manages a miserly 67.3mpg combined cycle – impressive for such a big car. If your Note is destined to carry heavier loads you may prefer the more powerful 1.6 litre variant. This heads the range at around £16,000.
For a car with such high sides you may expect the Note to lurch and roll around corners. This is not necessarily the case due to the agility of the chassis. The ride is firm but it takes bumps and everyday road fluctuations well.
The cabin of the Nissan Note is the big selling point. Nissan obvious realised spaciousness was the Note’s forte and designed lots of nooks and crannies for stow away space and the seats move and slid thoughtfully around.
With prices starting at around £11,200 it seems nearly unbelievable that you could get a reliable, practical family car at that rate. In this respect the Note is fairly unique and this has lead to impressive sales figures for a car not highly marketed in the UK.
Better again is the fact that you can buy a spacious 1.5 diesel for £12,200. The Note can’t easily be beaten for sheer value and practicality so in times of economic uncertainty this Nissan is a real catch.

Audi S5
Posted on01. Oct, 2011 by admin.
In the view of many, Audi is the brand leader in elegance and refined engineering. Their premium quality saloons are rivaled only by the BMW and Mercedes. Their new offering is ready to challenge the high performance market, bringing back memories of the 80’s classic, the Audi quattro.

The recently launched Audi A5 range is spearheaded by the powerful S5. The 4.2 V8 delivers 354bhp making you question whether this is a ‘Grand Tourer’ or a ‘Supercar.’ In essence the A5 is the kind of car that is built to cover long drives at speed and in comfort. The S5 rather, may be seen as more of a rival to the BMW 335i Coupe and could be described as a souped-up Grand Tourer. It does 0- 62mph in 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 155mph.
Steering is a lot lighter than in a straightforward sports car and the suspension is hard enough for decent cornering, without rattling the bones of the cars occupants. These facts highlight where Audi see the S5’s position: a sports grand tourer.
It has a sporty but elegant body shape – the front grill and bonnet announce it as an executive tourer, but the sweeping roof adds an element of panache which is absent on the more straight laced A4.
It is a spacious car which can accommodate a full quota of passengers in relative comfort. The cabin, as with any Audi oozes style and quality without being overdone.
The Audi S5 is unostentatious in its design but mind blowing in its raw power. The price tag is £39,825 which makes it more expensive than the BMW but for this you get an all round faster car. It does 0- 62mph in 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 155mph. The S5 fuses driver involvement with a car that can eat up a long journey quickly.

Top 5 Luxury Cars
Posted on10. Sep, 2011 by admin.
While most people looking to buy a car from sources such as www.motors.co.uk or elsewhere will not be looking at luxury cars, they remain a source of fascination for car lovers – but which cars are rated the top luxury models?
The Maybach 62
Around six feet longer than the S-Class Mercedes, which ensures that it has huge amounts of internal space, both in the front and back. In addition, it covers roads – even the bumpiest ones – as if it were gliding above them; although combined with its size, this makes it unsuitable for high speed driving. Furthermore, the features are customised to fit individual requirements.
Rolls Royce Phantom
Provides a combination of performance, size and comfort that knocks spots off even fine cars like the Maybach. For a vehicle of such weight and size it has brilliant steering and the legendary Rolls Royce engine ensures superb performance levels. The Phantom can also match the unique customised features offered by the Maybach.

Bentley Continental Flying Spur
Currently rated the fastest saloon car in the world, with a maximum speed capability of 200 mph, it is also rated the finest luxury saloon car in terms of performance – carrying a 552bhp 6.0-litre W12 engine. This enables it to achieve speeds unheard of for large cars.
Jaguar XJ
Stands out within the Jaguar X range as it has a more distinguished look than the XF and XK, and provides one of the smoothest, quietest rides imaginable, practically eliminating engine feedback noise. The XJ is also equipped with a wealth of high tech luxuries, including LCD screens and graphics.
Aston Martin Rapide
This is probably the most attractive saloon car, with smooth appearance, instantly recognisable headlights and wide grille. On the negative side it is less spacious inside than the Rolls Royce or Maybach, but is brilliantly designed. It is created for cruising rather than powerful performance, with V12 6.0-litre engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Nissan Altima Hybrid
Posted on04. Aug, 2011 by admin.
The Nissan Altima Hybrid has been a popular consumer car for the last several years since it’s inception in late 2007. The hybrid was touched up however, like the rest of the Nissan Altima line up, in 2010. Among some of the changes are the 16-inch aluminum alloy hub caps and a few new paint jobs. Many people believe it is more attractive than other economic hybrid vehicles such as the Camry.
The performance of the Nissan Altima Hybrid is largely unchanged, with about 158 horsepower and an electric motor that produces the standard 40 horsepower that can be found in almost any other electric motor. The hybrid engine is combined with a variable transmission that is liked by ma y and disputed by some. The transmission can be smooth, or it can be linear, depending upon how it is used.
Nissan is currently in the process of developing it’s own hybrid technology, which is somewhat apparent when trying to switch from electric to gasoline mode. Nonetheless, Nissan maintains that the car can reach speeds of 40 miles per hour on electric power alone, which is somewhat impressive considering the limited power produced by electric motors. Most importantly, the Nissan Altima Hybrid gets an impressive gas mileage of about 35 mpg. With the reliability of the Nissan Altima line and the amount of savings consumers are receiving with the improved gas mileage, it is easy to see why the Nissan Altima Hybrid has been garnering so much attention recently.

2011 Cadillac CTS-V
Posted on14. Jul, 2011 by admin.
Cadillac has done an excellent job of creating a legacy using the same simple formula for success, repetition. By introducing automobiles that do not differ greatly in core style, the Cadillac brand has become recognizable worldwide.
Carrying on this legacy Cadillac has introduced the CTS-V coupe which will be entering production this summer after debuting at the Detroit show. The performance of a sedan meets the sleek look of a coupe in this unique automobile.
This is not to say that the car has not change greatly in the last year. Compared to it’s predecessor it is missing 2 doors that were there last year. However, the wheelbase is identical to it’s sedan counterpart. By lowering the mass and converting the car into a 2-door sedan Cadillac believe that the performance has been greatly improved.
The new CTS-V bears the nose and tail of the Cadillac coupe with a larger grille/air intake. The hood also has a bulge that gives room for the supercharger beast under the hood. The remaining luxury features come from the CTS coupe, including but not limited to luxury extras like vertical tail lamps with LEDs and touch pad actuated doors. With the sleek design of a coupe and the performance of a sedan the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V is a perfect pick for anyone looking for luxury without compromise.

Stable and reliable second-hand cars
Posted on17. Jun, 2011 by admin.
Manufacturers are now beginning to build more stable and reliable vehicles. So, why on earth would you want to purchase a second hand car, when a brand new one has been untouched? Well, actually, purchasing a used car has a myriad of benefits and advantages, and in some cases, it can be more pragmatic to actually choose a second-hand vehicle, over a new one. A line you’ll probably hear time and time again, and a line you’ve probably used before during doing a deal for a car is, “it’s only worth that much? I paid…so much…for it a couple of years ago”, and the reason you’ll hear this is because brand new cars tend to depreciate their most in the first three years.
Therefore, unless you want the ‘new car smell’, and see yourself keeping the vehicle for years and years, then maybe buying the same car second hand, such as from www.motors.co.uk/buy-a-car is the way forward. In fact, the price of a car drops dramatically as soon as it’s driven out of the showroom, and we’re talking thousands here. Many people just subscribe to the notion (and fallacy) that buying a used car is a huge risk, and many have concerns about how it will run once bought. However, as long as you check these things out before you buy (as you would do when buying a new car), then why should this matter? A good running vehicle is a good running vehicle, and even when buying second hand, individuals should always test-drive first. Quite often, the value of a motor levels out, and it stops losing such a high percentage of its value every year, therefore, putting your money behind a used vehicle and ensuring it’s well maintained could well be an excellent value for money decision, and one you’re sure not to regret!

Aptera 2e
Posted on13. Jun, 2011 by admin.
When it comes to cars of the future many people think of flying cars, hovercrafts and other futuristic marvels like the batmobile. However, the truth is that with the current global energy crisis evolving rapidly, the cars of the future are beginning to take a more conservative appearance. Aptera is releasing a 3-wheel hybrid vehicle that embodies that future vision perfectly with a vehicle that looks like it came right out of an episode of the Jetson’s.
The new Aptera 2e is actually production-intent, which means the car will be in production soon. In fact, Aptera is working with the department of energy to secure a 184 million dollar loan for the production of the futuristic automobile. The interior is extremely unique and high tech, with LCD panels, and a smooth, sleek layout that is sure to please any fans of the Jetson’s. The control panel also looks like something out of Start Trek, with a digital interactive interface that displays all of the car’s gauges attractively.
Despite the doubt of the automobile industry, Aptera is expected to become a household name in the next 20 years, paving the way for a future automobiles. With only three wheels, the car handles surprisingly well, taking corners just as well as any four-wheel vehicle. From the inside, the Aptera appears to be like the dock of a miniature spaceship. The only question is – will the Aptera 2e be widely accepted by the public, who has become so accustomed to four-wheel automobiles.
